The Ferguson-Florissant Board of Education held its reorganization meeting Wednesday evening, April 16, at the District’s Administration Center building.

On April 8, 2025, voters in FFSD elected two candidates for the two open seats on the Board of Education. Dr. Sheila Powell-Walker and Vivan Mansaray received the most votes. 

During Wednesday’s meeting, the two new Board members took the oath of office, and the following officers were elected:

President - Dr. Donna Paulette-Thurman

Vice President - Terry Tyson

Secretary - Dr. Sheila Powell-Walker

Assistant Secretary - Mr. Jamal Bailey

The new Board also selected Dr. Courtney Graves and Jamal Bailey as Missouri School Board Association (MSBA) Delegates, with Dr. Kevin M. Martin as the MSBA Alternate. 

Special thanks and recognition to outgoing Board member Jillian Dunn, who did not seek re-election. She was recognized for her contributions to the District during her years of Board service.
