A Message from Dr. Jane Crawford
Dear STEAM High Students and Families:
Welcome back from winter break to our STEAM High Scholars! Congratulations to our inaugural SENIOR CLASS of 2021 - graduation will be here before we know it! At STEAM High and across FFSD we continue the school year with virtual learning in order to practice community safety as we battle COVID-19. Our online learning will be enhanced with a new Learning Management System called Canvas, a new teleconferencing platform known as ZOOM, and teacher opportunities for lesson development integrating our online tools. As a result students and families can expect a robust and well rounded learning experience. As we approach 2nd semester decisions will be made regarding the method of instructional delivery moving into 2nd Semester.
Learning platform aside, at STEAM High we are 100% committed to our student scholars and our families. We will continue to provide accelerated learning opportunities, unique community programming, and many STEAM High Exclusives that our scholars have earned and deserve. Our STEAM High Mission statement is one we are dedicated to implementing regardless of the method or location for instructional delivery. You have our STEAM High promise!
STEAM High MISSION STATEMENT
STEAM High students are dedicated leaders and scholars for whom we foster a sense of belonging and confidence so they may work to become compassionate human beings who are able to effectively problem solve real-world issues, navigate an advanced STEAM curriculum, and give back through contributions to their community and the world.
During this challenging time, STEAM High Families: Work Hard, Be Well, Look Forward!
With STEAM High Pride

STEAM High New Student Virtual Summer Launch - Check out our SparkPage!
STEAM High conducted a Virtual Summer Launch August 4th and 5th. New Students were encouraged to attend some or all of the programming provided. An agenda included both synchronous and asynchronous learning opportunities for new STEAM High students. There were also a few menu items available for parents and family members to attend. The purpose of the Virtual Summer Launch was to get new STEAM High students oriented to our school, our expectations, and our approaches to learning. Students will have an opportunity to hear from STEAM High upperclassmen, teachers, and admininstrators. They will even get a chance to connect with one another and form some bonds prior to the beginnning of the school year. Incentives for participation will be available for students. We were looking forward to providing this experience to our NEW STEAM High students, please take some time to review the SparkPage and enjoy some of the Summer Launch Content!
