Dr. Katy Chambers holds her Doctorate in Educational Administration from Lindenwood University, a Masters in Educational Administration from Saint Louis University and a Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Education from Arizona State University.
Dr. Chambers returned to the district in 2015 after serving five years as an administrator in the Hazelwood School District. She was a middle school social studies teacher in the Ferguson-Florissant School District from 2005-2010. Dr. Chambers also served as a school and community resource volunteer for the United States Peace Corps from 2003-2005. She spent two years in Cassel Village, South Africa, where she supported the development of schools and the community.
Dr. Chambers is committed to ensuring every child –regardless of ability, gender, or race- has the skills, the confidence, and the opportunities to explore endless possibilities in life. She is a passionate educator and a dedicated mom to four uniquely amazing children. Her experience with teacher development and building community-school partnerships will create a positive environment where all students can excel at Wedgwood Sixth Grade Center.
